Our team

Lucas Saiter, LMHC

Practice Owner and Director

I offer psychotherapy in many areas, including LGBTQIA+ individuals working on strengthening identity, Latinx individuals and couples, immigrants adjusting to living in NYC, adults and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, identity concerns, trauma, grief and bereavement, and relationship and intimacy concerns.

I draw on psychodynamic, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help people develop a more holistic sense of themselves so that they have more control over their lives. I am passionate about helping people gain awareness and become more authentic and agentic. I am also trained in and offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Through personalized therapy, I am dedicated to developing a working relationship with clients and I see therapy as an opportunity to work together to develop goals.

My approach is characterized as a collaborative, compassionate, and active, where individuals can find authenticity in themselves and make meaningful change in their life by recognizing patterns and finding a voice for themselves.

I am bilingual and offer therapy in English and Brazilian Portuguese, my native language. I also work within a larger group practice called Clarity Therapy NYC.

Israa Nasir, LPMHC

Psychotherapist

I’m a psychotherapist based in New York, and my work focuses on supporting individuals who are navigating life transitions, identity challenges, and non-traditional lifestyles. Whether you’re questioning your gender or sexuality, exploring a childfree or ethically non-monogamous lifestyle, or processing the complexities of immigrant family dynamics, I provide a space for you to explore your experiences without judgment.

My work is grounded in the belief that emotional intelligence—understanding and regulating emotions, communicating effectively, and navigating relationships with clarity—is the key to a fulfilling life. Clients come to me when they’re ready to:

  • Navigate major life transitions with confidence (dating/marriage, relocation, identity exploration)

  • Understand and process cultural and familial expectations without guilt

  • Improve communication skills and emotional regulation

  • Explore and affirm non-traditional relationship dynamics and lifestyles

  • Develop a deeper connection to their authentic self

Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. We’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs while integrating practical strategies to help you feel more in control of your life.

Israa Nasir is a limited permit holder in mental health counseling under the supervision of Lucas Saiter, LMHC.
